Peter Schoemann recently spoke at a meeting of the Business Advisory Council, an organization focused on employment of the disabled. The membership includes many Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Schoemann explained the mission of the Chamber and what the businesses in the audience could do to help the Chamber. The speech was well received. See a couple of pictures below.
June 8 - 10, 2007:

The Chamber officially implemented its grass roots efforts at the Ninth Annual Family Café, from June 8, 2007, through June 10, 2007. Approximately 10,000 people in the Florida disability community attended the Family Café. During the event, the Chamber handed out approximately 500 brochures and approximately 200 applications. In addition, the Chamber received a great amount of positive feedback. It is clear from the Family Café that the Chamber will provide a valued service to the disability community.
